Courageousness of Heart
If you find yourself here, you are taking the first step on your path toward healing. What this says is that you have the courage to heal. Seeking answers to questions that feel futile and painful are actually the first step toward your own healing. My definition of healing is to recreate what is painful, and transform it into love. Because we need to face what ails us, this journey takes courage, and courage comes from the heart.
Making Friends with Ourselves
With many "theories and training" under my belt, I specialize in listening with heart, and being well listened to helps people heal. Often we first learn, 'don't be emotional, its weak to feel." We may tell ourselves similar stories such as "if I am emotional something bad will happen, therefore I don't trust my feelings." Therefore, we first begin by practicing Compassion with all of who you are.
The Unfolding of Compassion
The courage to heal asks that we befriend all your rejected parts, in the now, and from your past. Clients share with me that as they learn to be more tolerant and loving to these painful parts and sit with painful feelings, they turn from life challenges into break-throughs, leading to transformative moments.
Embodied Compassion
It may first appear difficult to start, but as the Chinese sage Confucius says, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and relief comes by taking the first step.
Wisdom and Compassion
As you take your first step know that you will not be alone. I find that it is deeply rewarding to be a witness and play a part in helping you discover more potential, resolve old losses, learn to express not repress your feelings, achieve life goals and embrace a happier more fulfilling life.
